Hamaka magazine issue one introduces us to the human side of pottery
Hamaka magazine is a not-for-profit independent publication originating in British Columbia and printed in Canada on a hundred percent recycled paper in a carbon neutral facility. Pronounced /Ha’ma.ka/, the name is a noun of the native word for “hammock” in the dialect of our Caribbean ancestors.

L.A. Signs zine series captures the City of Angels like never before across ten volumes
L.A. Signs is a series of ten zines created by Paul Price, an independent book and zine publisher from West Yorkshire, England. The staple bound volumes come individually packaged with a postcard full-colour image from the specific volume, as well as a leaflet containing the full series information.

BOYS BOYS BOYS! launches brand new book published by Kehrer Verlag
The Little Black Gallery has launched a brand new BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! book this May. Featuring new works from over sixty photographers, the 208 page compendium contains 141 colour and black and white photographs from thirty countries including China, India, Iran, Poland, and Russia.

JK’s Magazine issue two aims to inspire through a diverse creative showcase
JK’s Magazine issue two has continued its mission of injecting inspiration through exhibiting the creative arts. With its release in Winter of 2022, JK’s Magazine’s Editor Jeesi Kalombo explains that his “long-term visions (have) come into reality.” He continues, “I hope the magazine gives people, who have not yet found an artistic hobby or expressed themselves through their own work, the courage to start in many different ways.”

Linseed Journal announces volume two call for submissions
Linseed Journal has announced a call for submissions for volume two. The release of volume one in 2022, named ‘The Apple’, saw Linseed’s first edition in print hit the shelves. Speaking about how Linseed came to be, their website reads, “Inspired by the linseed, each print Volume is themed around a single organic material with enduring cultural significance.”

The Posthumanist magazine explores the universal theme of sleep in debut issue
Launched in the September of this year, The Posthumanist is a “magazine for more-than-human art, design, technology and writing,” as is written on the cover with a small asterisk denoting the line. The multi-lingual publication is the brainchild of Editor-in-chief Anna Nolda Nagele, and features both English and German split content throughout.

Solomiya magazine hosts Berlin pop-up exhibition
Self-published magazine ‘soлomiya’ (“solomiya” as per Instagram tag) is hosting a pop-up exhibition in Berlin this summer. It finishes August 15th - be quick! Held at cultural platform and project space feldfünf in Berlin, Germany - soлomiya is showcased within the space so viewers can read the stories held within its pages.

Limited edition zine creator Spotz is set to host a release party in aid of celebrating their latest release. Supported by tennis and culture magazine Racquet, the event is to be held in New York City’s ‘VICTORIA!’ bar on the 8th of August.

Isolarii releases Ukraine war focused issue seven ‘In The Face of War’
Isolarii have unveiled their brand new, seventh publication ‘IN THE FACE OF WAR’. The new issue sits alongside the exhibition, “This is Ukraine: Defending Freedom.” As part of the Venice Biennale, the exhibition was produced in partnership with the Office of the President of Ukraine and curated by isolarii subscriber Björn Geldhof.
