SAND journal issue 26 gets Berlin November launch

SAND journal is poised to launch their 26th issue this November. Held at Lettrétage in Berlin on the 15th of November, SAND 26 – their “shifting” autumn issue, will be launched alongside readings and mini-presentations from contributors and the team behind the magazine.

Published twice a year, SAND is a non-profit literary and art journal from Berlin. It features work by writers, translators, and artists from around the world with the aim to seek out fresh and underrepresented perspectives. Their previous issue (25) is currently sold out online but is still available in stockists in Paris and Berlin, as noted on their Instagram here.

The event website notes, “the poetry, prose and art of SAND 26 linger in the in-between, unable to pick a reality, or unwilling to face what the new reality might be. Or perhaps choosing to reject reality altogether in favour of alternative worlds.” The event will also play host to graphic designer Déborah-Loïs Séry, who’ll dive into the process of making the magazine.

SAND 26 will be available to purchase on the night and the event notes that this will be held in English. Tickets are still available to their November event (at time of writing) – you can purchase tickets here. The website also notes that there are some accessibility issues in the building at present.
