Akin magazine opens physical store in Norwich

Independent magazine Akin opened their first physical store in the heart of Norwich in March 2022. This is a huge milestone for the magazine and the owner Alice, having only been an online webshop until now. On the first episode of the Overleaf podcast we spoke about the potential of opening a new store – you can listen to the episode in full below or via your favourite listening platforms.

Visiting Akin’s store you’ll find a strong array of indie magazines such as Apartamento, Sidetracked, Bloom, The Modernist, Lunch Lady, Pit and much more adorning their shelves. As well as magazines Akin also sells a range of prints, created by the owner’s partner Joshua. The prints are architectural drawings featuring Berlin’s Bakema Tower to the local Saint James Mill. All prints are by Joshua Smith and are priced at £18 each, all of which are purchasable online as well.
