Independent lifestyle publication heiter has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help fund the production of its third print issue, ‘Blooming’, set for publication in late summer 2026. This year marks an exciting milestone for heiter as it reaches ten years in existence and their print project reaches a milestone of three keepsake magazines, amongst other projects.
In an increasingly digital world, heiter has continued to release carefully considered and well curated magazines that “invite readers to pause, reflect and reconnect with the things that bring them joy,” Katharina writes. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Austrian-born editor and creative entrepreneur Katharina Geissler-Evans shared that heiter was born out of a “deeply personal experience of burnout and a desire to help others find more joy, intention and connection in their everyday lives.” Overleaf’s Stuart Williams had previously co-hosted the launch of issue 2 with Katharina back in 2024 and is featured on the blog here.
Since 2016 heiter has grown out of the seeds of a passion project and into an “international community centred around thoughtful living, creativity, personal style and wellbeing”, they write. The upcoming issue, ‘Blooming’, marks heiter’s tenth anniversary in style as it continues to share its mission through a printed magazine. “Exploring themes of growth, personal evolution and flourishing in one’s own way, the issue will feature curated interviews, essays, photography, fashion editorials and practical inspiration designed to help readers create lives that feel good to them.”
“After overcoming burnout in 2015, I began intentionally creating small moments of joy in my everyday life,” says Geissler-Evans. “Those moments became the foundation for heiter. Through the magazine, workshops, events and our membership community, my mission has always been to inspire others to live and style their lives in a way that feels good to them, too.” Heiter continues to be a champion of slow, tangible media and even has a membership community named The Heiter Society where Katharina and the community organises workshops, events and newsletters, to name a few.

The Kickstarter campaign will help cover printing, contributor fees, design and production costs whilst ensuring the publication remains independently owned and creatively driven. Supporters of the campaign can choose from a range of rewards, including copies of ‘Blooming’, bundles including previous issues and exciting opportunities to become a part of the magazine’s journey.
