Mag to Mag event launching in Italy this May

Mag to Mag, an independent magazine event held by Frab’s Magazines & More, is coming to Bologna, Italy this May. The independent magazine shop is hosting their brand new event across the 6th and 7th of May 2023. “Mag To Mag was created to exchange opinions and views,” the website reads. “Get to know each other, but above all to give the independent magazine sector practical and concrete tools to grow and become a reality that manages to go beyond its insecurities and divisions, overcoming the shell of its small niche.”

Hosted at the Sala Borsa Library in Piazza del Nettuno, Bologna, Mag to Mag aims to “collect the thousands of energies, ideas, turbulences that gravitate in this small niche of paper lovers and create new synergies, amplifying the sound of paper and the clean noise it can make.” Amongst those in attendance in the list of exhibitors include, to name a few: Desired Landscapes, Lost, Archive, Meantime Zine, Plastikcomb, Lodestars Anthology, Lampoon, Cineforum, Ausloser and so much more. The full list of exhibitors can be found here. Across the two days will see a market come to life with independent magazines, specific talks, technique workshops, selling training and open mics.

Tickets can be found on Eventbrite here. Taken from the website, they add, “Free online registration for the events is recommended to be sure of having reserved your place and to grab some unique offers dedicated only to registered participants (link to the events here). Only some training events are subject to registration fee.” All the details can be found on their main website here. You can also visit Frab’s Magazines & More, the host of Mag to Mag here.
